New Appointment to the Board of Directors
December 11, 2025, St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador – At their recent Board meeting, the Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP) appointed a new Director. Effective November 27, 2025, Dr. Sadaf Faisal was appointed to the Board of Directors of CCCEP as the representative for the Canadian Pharmacists Association (CPhA).
Dr. Faisal is the Senior Director of Professional Affairs at CPhA. She has over 15 years of experience supporting patients in community, long-term care, and primary care settings. In her current role, Dr. Faisal leads national initiatives to advance pharmacy practice, strengthen professional development, and champion workforce wellness. Driven by a passion for empowering pharmacists and improving patient care, she is committed to shaping a healthier future for pharmacy in Canada—one that supports both practitioners and the communities they serve. Dr. Faisal replaces Janet MacDonnell, who had served on the Board of Directors since 2022.
“I am pleased to join the CCCEP Board of Directors” said Dr. Faisal, noting that “with rapid changes occurring in the pharmacy environment, continuing education is critical to supporting the profession as it embraces new areas of practice, and I look forward to the discussions as to how CCCEP can play a pivotal role in this regard.”
CCCEP’s President Dr. Pamela Timanson welcomed Dr. Faisal to the Board, noting that “I look forward to her perspectives and am confident that they will add depth to the Board’s discussions in the future”. She also thanked Ms. MacDonnell for her contributions over the past few years.
