At its May Board meeting, the Canadian Council on Continuing Education in Pharmacy (CCCEP) appointed a new Director. Effective May 28, 2026, Jane McKaig was appointed to the CCCEP Board of Directors as the representative of the Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP).
Jane McKaig is the Manager, Practice Engagement and Knowledge Mobilization at OCP. She brings more than 25 years of experience in pharmacy practice across a variety of settings, including community pharmacy, hospital practice, and professional regulation. In her current role, she leads initiatives that support engagement with the pharmacy profession, facilitate the implementation of pharmacy practice guidance, and advance the development of resources that foster knowledge translation and mobilization among pharmacy professionals. Focused on improving health system outcomes while advancing resources that support pharmacy professionals in delivering optimal patient care, Jane is committed to exploring innovative approaches that strengthen and modernize pharmacy practice and the tools upon which pharmacy professionals rely.
Jane succeeds Sandra Winkelbauer, who served on the CCCEP Board of Directors since 2006 and has transitioned to her new role as Executive Director of CCCEP.
